Inspiring My Generation was founded in March 2020 by Francesca Reicherter with one main mission: change the way that WE as a society approach mental health through normalizing the conversation and making treatment options accessible.
Normalize The Conversation
Silence is deadly. According to the National Alliance on Mental Illness (NAMI), Depression affects nearly 16 million Americans every year. A high percentage of these people suffer in silence, because of the negative stigma associated with mental illness. People are afraid of judgement and afraid of being thought of as weak. This fear results in years of bottled up emotions, and far too often results in self-harm, substance abuse, or suicide. No one should feel they have to suffer alone. Inspiring My Generation is a safe environment, a platform that empowers others to use their voice and stories to support, encourage, and normalize the conversation with others throughout their journey.
Various mental illnesses dramatically affect one's daily life and ability to reach his/her highest potential. A high percentage of our community, even those with the Affordable Care Act, cannot afford access to appropriate recovering treatment plans such as therapy and essential medications. As a result of financial constraints, they are denied the opportunity to get help. Mental Health should be a right, not a privilege. That is why Inspiring My Generation has created the T3 Mental Health Grant; in honor of our T3 Philosophy: TAKE a deep breath; TRUST the process; TRANSCEND your limits.
